The tent is rugged and durable, and easy to set up; we have the tent ready more quickly than we can put up a traditional tent. The bed’s 3″ foam cushion is extremely comfortable, and it could be the fresh air or our exhaustion from hiking, but we swear the bed is more comfortable than our bed at home. We are able to leave our sleeping bags inside so our beds are practically pre-made when we pop open the tent. The small details make this tent exceptional – small mesh screens to keep the bugs out, pockets inside for small gear, and shoe bags to hang outside the tent. The tent folds up easily with cords on the inside that help pull the tent together. We did some 4WD roads (such as Ophir Pass from Silverton to Telluride CO) and, while it’s a good idea to test out and be cognizant of the additional height on the vehicle, the tent didn’t in any way impede our 4W-driving.
